Waypoint Strategic Consulting is an efficient, bilingual team committed to community-based project design, winning grants and other funding proposals, and authentic capacity building to drive community-based solutions. We give communities the support they need to carry out their missions, improve their quality of life and infrastructure, and develop thriving vibrant futures. Throughout this process, we center indigenous wisdom, cultural knowledge, and community needs, to ensure funded solutions are truly responsive to communities and are constructed by the very people they’re intended to serve.

  • Founder and Director

    Dr. Megan Kenny Feister has 15 years of federal, state, and foundation grant writing experience. She focuses on capacity building customized for the organization she’s serving. Specifically, she helps to design grant strategies and greater funding plans to support your organization’s long term vision, identify and tailor funding priorities to different funders, conduct outreach and relationship building with funders, identify grant opportunities, develop program-specific budgets and grant content, and more. She is passionate about social and environmental justice, community health and resilience, infrastructure, education, and community engagement. She has written over $350m in successful grant requests for these causes with clients around the country, from remote Alaska to the deep South to rural California. Her work with tribes, nonprofits, companies, and other institutions has given her deep appreciation for place-based, community driven solutions to our society’s biggest challenges.
